This policy explains how MergeDock handles information when you use the macOS app, this website or support. MergeDock is designed to compare and merge files locally and does not require an account.

MergeDock may store the following information in its app environment to provide requested features:

• Preferences such as appearance, comparison rules, editor behavior and language.
• Recent-comparison history and pinned sessions.
• Recovery data created to restore eligible interrupted work.
• Security-scoped bookmark data used to regain macOS-authorized access to selected files or folders.
• Cached App Store product display information and verified entitlement state.

File timestamps may be read to detect external changes and maintain comparison state. These values are used for app functionality, not advertising or tracking.

4. File and folder access

MergeDock runs in the App Sandbox. You grant access through macOS when selecting a file, folder, save destination or Git repository. A security-scoped bookmark may preserve that authorization for future history, recovery or Git sessions. If macOS invalidates an authorization after a move, restore or storage change, the app may ask you to select the current location again.

5. App Store purchases

Apple processes downloads, purchases, restoration and payment details. MergeDock requests product information and verified entitlement status from StoreKit so it can display availability and unlock purchased features. MergeDock does not receive your full payment-card details.

6. Support messages

If you contact support@mergedock.net, the email address, message, attachments and diagnostic details you choose to provide are received through the email service used for support. They are used to answer your request, investigate the reported issue and maintain necessary support records. Avoid sending confidential file content unless specifically requested and appropriately redacted.

7. This website

This static website does not use advertising SDKs, analytics tags or tracking cookies. The language selector stores its state only in the page URL. Links to the App Store and email open services governed by their respective providers.

8. Your controls and deletion

• Manage comparison history and pinned sessions from the history window.
• Manage recovery items from Recovery Center.
• Reset settings from the relevant settings pages where available.
• Remove the app to delete data held in its local app container, subject to macOS and backup behavior.
• Use macOS Settings to review or revoke system-level file permissions where available.

9. Security and retention

MergeDock uses macOS sandboxing, user-selected file access and security-scoped authorization to limit file access. Local settings, history and recovery data remain until removed through available controls, app removal or system cleanup. Support correspondence is retained only as reasonably needed to respond, diagnose recurring issues and meet legal obligations.

4. ファイル・フォルダへのアクセス

MergeDockはApp Sandbox内で動作します。ファイル、フォルダ、保存先、Gitリポジトリを選択するとき、macOSを通じてアクセスを許可します。履歴、復旧、Gitセッションで認可を再利用するため、セキュリティスコープ付きブックマークを保存する場合があります。移動、復元、ストレージ変更後にmacOSが認可を無効化した場合、現在の場所の再選択を求めることがあります。

ダウンロード、購入、復元、支払い情報はAppleが処理します。MergeDockは、提供状況の表示と購入済み機能の解放のため、StoreKitから商品情報と検証済み購入権利を取得します。クレジットカード番号など完全な決済情報をMergeDockが受け取ることはありません。

6. サポートへの連絡

support@mergedock.net へ連絡した場合、利用者が送信したメールアドレス、本文、添付、診断情報は、サポートに使用するメールサービスを通じて受け取ります。問い合わせへの回答、問題調査、必要な対応記録の維持に使用します。機密ファイルは、具体的な依頼があり、機密情報を適切に取り除いた場合を除き送信しないでください。

7. 本ウェブサイト

本静的ウェブサイトは、広告SDK、アクセス解析タグ、追跡Cookieを使用しません。言語選択はページURLにのみ反映します。App Storeとメールへのリンクは、それぞれの提供者のサービスを開きます。

8. 管理と削除

• 比較履歴画面から履歴とピン留めを管理できます。
• 復旧センターから復旧項目を管理できます。
• 提供されている設定画面から該当設定をリセットできます。
• アプリを削除すると、macOSやバックアップの動作を除き、ローカルのアプリコンテナ内データを削除できます。
• 利用可能な場合、macOSの設定からシステムレベルのファイル権限を確認・解除できます。

9. 安全性と保存期間

macOSのSandbox、利用者が選択したファイルへのアクセス、セキュリティスコープ付き認可を使ってアクセス範囲を制限します。ローカル設定、履歴、復旧データは、アプリ内の管理、アプリ削除、システムによる整理が行われるまで保存されます。サポート連絡は、回答、再発問題の調査、法的義務に合理的に必要な期間だけ保存します。
